Touker Suleyman became a Dragon on the British series Dragons' Den in 2015.
Suleyman joined the investment panel for the programme's thirteenth series. He is a retail and fashion entrepreneur whose business career includes clothing and manufacturing, giving him particular experience in products, supply chains and consumer brands.
His appointment continued the programme's practice of refreshing the panel while retaining its core investment format. A Dragon's decision depends not only on whether an idea is appealing, but also on valuation, intellectual property, distribution, production and the entrepreneur's ability to execute the plan.
The date is sometimes mixed up with the years when other modern Dragons joined. Suleyman's television role began in 2015, while his commercial career had started much earlier. He has also appeared in business media outside the programme, but Dragons' Den is the role that made him widely known to the British television audience.
