Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem premiered as a feature film in 2023.
The computer-animated movie presents a new version of Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Raphael as teenagers trying to earn acceptance in New York City. Jeff Rowe directed the film, while Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg were among its producers and writers. The story emphasizes the brothers’ family life, their relationship with Splinter, and their encounters with humans and mutants.
Paramount Pictures released Mutant Mayhem theatrically in August 2023. Its expressive, sketchbook-inspired animation style was designed to suggest the energy of hand-drawn teenage artwork, setting it apart from the more polished look of some earlier computer-animated productions.
The film’s title can cause confusion with the 2014 movie and the 2022 Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie. Mutant Mayhem is a separate continuity and does not continue either of those films.
