The South Korean boy band BTS made its debut in 2013.
BTS debuted under Big Hit Entertainment, now known as Big Hit Music. The group’s first release was the single album “2 Cool 4 Skool,” issued in June 2013. Its lead single, “No More Dream,” introduced the group’s early hip-hop-influenced style.
The group originally consisted of RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook. BTS gradually expanded its international audience through albums, touring, online fan communities and multilingual releases.
Some references distinguish the group’s official debut date from its pre-debut training and promotional activities. The standard date used for BTS’s musical debut is June 13, 2013, when “2 Cool 4 Skool” was released.
