In what country did the Arctic Monkeys end their 2013-14 AM tour?

The story behind the answer

The Arctic Monkeys ended their 2013–14 AM Tour in Brazil. The final concert took place in Rio de Janeiro on November 15, 2014, closing a worldwide tour built around the band’s album AM.

The AM Tour began in May 2013 in Ventura, California, and continued through North America, Europe, Oceania, Asia, and South America. Its long itinerary reflected the international success of AM, the group’s fifth studio album. The record produced major songs such as “Do I Wanna Know?”, “Why’d You Only Call Me When You’re High?” and “R U Mine?”

The closing performance was held at HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro. Brazil was therefore the final country visited, although the tour had already passed through several other South American countries during its concluding leg. The band’s lineup featured Alex Turner, Jamie Cook, Nick O’Malley, and Matt Helders, with touring musicians supporting the expanded live arrangements.

A frequent mistake is confusing the tour’s starting country with its ending country: it opened in the United States but finished in Brazil.
