Set is the ancient Egyptian god central to the plot of Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation.
The game begins when Lara Croft accidentally releases Set while exploring an Egyptian tomb. She must then recover the Amulet of Horus and work to prevent Set from fully returning to the world. The story uses Egyptian mythology as its main framework rather than treating the setting as a simple backdrop.
Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation was released in 1999 and was the fourth main game in the original series. Much of the adventure takes place in Egypt, with Lara visiting locations connected with Egyptian history, temples, tombs, and mythology.
Set is sometimes confused with Anubis because both are well-known Egyptian deities associated with death-related imagery. In this game, however, Set is the imprisoned and released supernatural antagonist, while the amulet and Horus provide the opposing mythological context.
