In The Summer I Turned Pretty season 3, what sport is featured in the annual fundraiser?

The annual fundraiser in The Summer I Turned Pretty season 3 features beach volleyball.

The event takes place in episode 6, “Last Name,” where Belly is determined to win. She initially teams with Taylor, but Taylor fakes an injury so Jeremiah can partner with Belly instead. The match combines a public summer event with the season’s personal tensions.

Beach volleyball fits the show’s setting because the series is built around Cousins Beach, the fictional coastal community where the Fisher and Conklin families spend their summers. It is different from surfing, which is another beach-associated activity but not the sport used for this fundraiser.

The scene also advances the relationships among Belly, Taylor, and Jeremiah. Taylor’s maneuver changes the teams and creates an opportunity for Belly and Jeremiah to play together, making the fundraiser more than a standalone sporting event.
