In "The Matrix" (1999), what is the name of the hovercraft captained by Morpheus?

The story behind the answer

In "The Matrix" (1999), Morpheus captains the hovercraft Nebuchadnezzar.

The Nebuchadnezzar is one of the human resistance ships operating outside the Matrix. Its crew travels through the ruined real world, searches for people who may still be trapped in the simulated reality, and uses the ship's equipment to connect their minds to the Matrix. Morpheus commands the vessel and brings Neo aboard after offering him the famous red-pill-or-blue-pill choice.

The ship's name refers to Nebuchadnezzar II, the ancient king of Babylon who appears in the biblical Book of Daniel. In that story, the king has a troubling dream and seeks its meaning, a fitting reference for a film centered on reality, dreams, and the search for truth. The ship is also labeled "Mark III No. 11," a detail often interpreted as a biblical reference.

A common mix-up is confusing the ship with Zion, which is the underground human city, or with the Logos and Osiris, other hovercraft in the franchise. The Nebuchadnezzar is destroyed during "The Matrix Reloaded," after which Morpheus no longer commands it.
