In The Incredibles, Syndrome uses the Omnidroid to test and defeat superheroes.
The Omnidroid is a heavily armoured autonomous combat robot equipped with multiple limbs, rolling movement, and a central red eye. Syndrome improves its design after each encounter, allowing later versions to learn from opponents and exploit their weaknesses.
Syndrome’s plan is to stage a battle between the Omnidroid and himself. He intends to defeat the machine publicly, then sell advanced technology so that ordinary people can appear superpowered. The plan fails when the robot’s adaptive intelligence identifies Syndrome as an enemy.
The film refers to several versions, including the Omnidroid 9000 and the larger Omnidroid 10000. “Omnidroid” is the series name, while the number identifies a particular generation.
