In The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, what is the protagonist's name?

The story behind the answer

The protagonist of The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift is Sean Boswell.

Sean is a teenage street racer from Arizona who is sent to Tokyo to live with his U.S. Navy father after repeated illegal racing incidents. In Japan, his friend Twinkie introduces him to the underground drifting scene. Sean initially struggles because drifting requires controlled slides and weight transfer rather than the conventional drag-racing techniques he knows.

Han Lue becomes Sean's mentor and teaches him how to drift, while Takashi—known as the Drift King, or DK—serves as his main rival. Sean eventually defeats Takashi in a mountain-pass race and earns the Drift King title. Han is central to Sean's development but is not the protagonist, while DK is the antagonist. Sean is played by Lucas Black and later returns with Twinkie and Earl in F9.
