In the BBC series Dragon's Den, which former Dragon founded the leisure company Bannatyne Group?

Duncan Bannatyne founded the Bannatyne Group, the leisure company associated with his appearances on the BBC series Dragon's Den.

The Bannatyne Group operates health clubs, spas and hotels. Bannatyne built his business career through several ventures before concentrating on leisure, and the group became one of the most recognisable health-club brands in the United Kingdom.

He was part of the original Dragon's Den panel and became known for his straightforward questioning and interest in businesses with clear commercial potential. His background made fitness and leisure pitches especially relevant to him, although his investment interests covered much more than those sectors.

Bannatyne's surname is sometimes misspelled with an extra vowel or confused with the name of the company itself. The correct answer is Duncan Bannatyne, while Bannatyne Group is the business he founded.
