In the Assassin's Creed video game series, which 2007 game introduced Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad?
Answer
Assassin's Creed
Answer
Assassin's Creed
The 2007 video game Assassin's Creed introduced Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad as its central playable character.
Developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft, the game follows Altaïr, a Syrian Assassin operating during the Third Crusade in the late 12th century. The story also introduces Desmond Miles, whose genetic memories are explored through the Animus.
Altaïr begins the game as a highly skilled but arrogant Assassin. After failing a mission, he is demoted and must restore his rank by eliminating targets connected to the Templar Order. The game established the series' signature combination of stealth, freerunning, investigation, and historical fiction.
The original game is sometimes confused with Assassin's Creed II, which introduced Ezio Auditore da Firenze and a Renaissance Italian setting. Altaïr later returned as a major character in Assassin's Creed: Revelations, but his first appearance was in the 2007 original.
