In the 2014 film "Edge of Tomorrow", what is the name of the special ops soldier played by Emily Blunt?

The story behind the answer

In the 2014 film "Edge of Tomorrow," Emily Blunt plays the special-operations soldier Sergeant Rita Vrataski.

Rita is introduced as a celebrated war hero whose victory at the Battle of Verdun makes her one of humanity’s most important fighters against the alien Mimics. She is known among soldiers as the "Angel of Verdun" and becomes the experienced guide for Major William Cage, played by Tom Cruise.

Cage is trapped in a time loop, reliving the same battle whenever he dies. Rita recognizes the unusual situation because she once possessed the same time-reset ability. She trains Cage through repeated attempts, helping him understand the Mimics’ battlefield tactics and search for a way to end the invasion.

The names Rose, Angela, and Julie are not Rita’s character names. Rita Vrataski is also the name used in the source novel, Hiroshi Sakurazaka’s Japanese military science-fiction story "All You Need Is Kill." The film was marketed with the alternate tagline "Live. Die. Repeat." and is often remembered for its inventive time-loop structure.
