In the 2010 film 'The Expendables', which actor plays the character Gunner Jensen?

In The Expendables, Dolph Lundgren plays Gunner Jensen. Gunner is a heavy-weapons expert and member of the Expendables, the elite mercenary team at the center of the 2010 action film.

The character is introduced as volatile and unpredictable. During the team’s opening hostage-rescue mission against Somali pirates, Gunner escalates the violence and attempts to hang a captured pirate. His teammates stop him, and leader Barney Ross reluctantly dismisses him from the group.

Gunner later accepts work from corrupt former CIA agent James Munroe, who is connected to the team’s mission in Vilena. After fighting former teammate Yin Yang and being shot by Barney, Gunner survives and ultimately provides information that helps the Expendables confront Munroe.

The role also contains several jokes inspired by Lundgren’s real life. Like the actor, Gunner is associated with chemical engineering, and later films in the franchise continue using his scientific background and troubled history as character traits.
