In the 2007 live-action Transformers film, which Decepticon disguises as a police car?

The story behind the answer

In the 2007 live-action Transformers film, Barricade is the Decepticon who disguises himself as a police car.

Barricade’s vehicle mode is a black Saleen S281 Extreme, a modified Ford Mustang fitted with police markings. The disguise lets him move through human environments while appearing to represent law enforcement. In the film, he and his companion Frenzy pursue Sam Witwicky because Sam’s great-grandfather’s glasses contain information leading to the hidden AllSpark.

Barricade is introduced as a hunter and scout rather than as one of the film’s giant aerial attackers. His encounter with Sam and Mikaela leads directly to a confrontation with Bumblebee, making him an important early antagonist. The character’s name also fits his role: a barricade blocks movement, while this Decepticon obstructs the heroes’ escape.

A common mix-up is Brawl, another Decepticon in the 2007 film. Brawl transforms into a tank, while Blackout becomes a Sikorsky helicopter and Starscream becomes a fighter jet. Barricade is also sometimes confused with the Autobot police-car character Prowl from earlier Transformers continuities.
