In the 2000 film Takedown, Kevin Mitnick’s hacker handle is Condor.
The film is based on the pursuit and arrest of Kevin Mitnick, a prominent American computer hacker. Condor was the nickname associated with Mitnick in accounts of his activities, and the film uses it as the identity attached to its central hacker character.
Takedown was released in the United States under that title, while it is also known as Track Down. Skeet Ulrich portrays Kevin Mitnick, and Russell Wong plays computer-security consultant Tsutomu Shimomura, whose pursuit of Mitnick forms a major part of the story.
The handle should not be confused with aliases from fictional hacker films. Crash Override belongs to Dade Murphy in Hackers, while The Plague belongs to Eugene Belford. Condor is specifically linked to the real-life Mitnick portrayed in Takedown.
