In the 1973 martial arts film "Enter the Dragon", which star plays the lead role?

The story behind the answer

In the 1973 martial-arts film "Enter the Dragon," Bruce Lee plays the lead role of Lee.

The character is a Shaolin-trained martial artist recruited by British intelligence to infiltrate Han’s private island tournament. While competing, Lee investigates Han’s criminal operation and seeks evidence connected to his sister’s death. The film combines martial-arts spectacle with the structure of a spy thriller.

Directed by Robert Clouse, "Enter the Dragon" was an American-Hong Kong co-production made with Warner Bros., Golden Harvest, and Concord Production. Its international success helped bring Hong Kong martial-arts cinema to a much wider audience and made Lee a global cultural icon.

The film was Lee’s final completed screen performance before his death in July 1973 at age 32. It also includes notable appearances by John Saxon, Jim Kelly, Shih Kien, Sammo Hung, and an uncredited Jackie Chan. Lee’s role is sometimes confused with his later part in "The Way of the Dragon," where he plays Tang Lung.
