In Taoist mythology, who is the creator being that emerged from the cosmic egg?

The story behind the answer

In Taoist mythology, who is the creator being that emerged from the cosmic egg? Pangu.

In Taoist mythology, Pangu is the primordial creator figure who emerged from a cosmic egg and separated the forces of yin and yang. The lighter, clearer yang became Heaven, while the heavier, murkier yin became Earth. Pangu then stood between them and pushed Heaven upward so that the two realms would remain apart.

The myth says that the universe began as a formless chaos that gradually condensed into an egg over approximately 18,000 years. Pangu is often portrayed as a gigantic, hairy, horned figure carrying an axe. After his death, different versions say his body became features of the natural world, including mountains, rivers, wind, clouds, the Sun, and the Moon.

Pangu is sometimes confused with Nüwa or Fuxi. Nüwa is especially associated with creating or repairing humanity, while Fuxi is a culture hero linked with civilization, the trigrams, and other inventions. Chinese traditions contain multiple creation stories, but the cosmic-egg creator in this particular myth is Pangu.
