In Super Mario 64, Cool, Cool Mountain is the level with the giant penguin and its snowy mountain slide.

Cool, Cool Mountain is the fourth main course reached through a painting in Princess Peach’s Castle. Its icy setting includes steep slopes, frozen platforms, snowmen, cabins, ice bridges, and several winding routes that make movement and camera control especially important.

The giant penguin appears in the mission “Li’l Penguin Lost.” Mario must find the small penguin near the mountain’s upper area and carry it safely downhill to its mother near the starting point. The same mountain also hosts the famous “Big Penguin Race,” in which Mario competes against the adult penguin by sliding through a hazardous course.

Snowman’s Land is an understandable mix-up because it is another icy course in the game, but its central landmark is a large snowman rather than Cool, Cool Mountain’s penguin family.
