In Studio Ghibli’s The Castle of Cagliostro, what is the name of the princess Lupin rescues?

The princess Lupin rescues in Studio Ghibli’s The Castle of Cagliostro is Clarisse Cagliostro.

Clarisse is the young heir to the fictional European country of Cagliostro. At the beginning of the film, Arsène Lupin III encounters her while she is being pursued by Count Cagliostro’s forces. The plot then combines a rescue adventure, an attempted forced marriage, and a mystery involving counterfeit money.

The 1979 film was Hayao Miyazaki’s feature directorial debut. It is based on the manga character Lupin III created by Monkey Punch, but its tone and visual style are distinct from later Studio Ghibli fantasy films. Clarisse is sometimes confused with Nausicaä or Sheeta, other prominent princess characters in Miyazaki-related animation.
