In season three of "Parks and Recreation," April Ludgate reveals that she met her new boyfriend Eduardo in Venezuela.
April had disappeared from Pawnee for three months after becoming angry with Andy Dwyer. When she returns, Andy learns that she spent the time in Venezuela and came back with Eduardo, a handsome Venezuelan student. Her new relationship is partly genuine, but April also admits that she dated Eduardo to make Andy jealous after he kissed Ann Perkins.
The storyline appears in "Go Big or Go Home," the first episode of season three, which originally aired on January 20, 2011. Eduardo later appears in "Time Capsule," where Andy tries to befriend him and discovers they share a love of the Dave Matthews Band.
A common mix-up is confusing Eduardo's appearance with the earlier season-two episode "Sister City," which centers on Pawnee's exchange with a Venezuelan parks department. That episode establishes the Venezuela connection, but April's relationship with Eduardo is a season-three storyline.
