Roz says, “I’m watching you, Wazowski. Always watching” in Pixar’s Monsters, Inc.
Roz is the gravelly-voiced office worker who monitors Mike Wazowski’s paperwork and time-card responsibilities. Her line captures the suspicious, deadpan relationship she has with Mike throughout the film.
Roz initially appears to be an ordinary employee at Monsters, Incorporated, but the story later reveals that she is an undercover agent for the Child Detection Agency. This makes her constant observation of Mike and the company’s activities especially meaningful in retrospect.
Bob Peterson provides Roz’s original English voice. Peterson was also involved in the film’s writing and later directed Pixar’s Up. Roz’s line is often quoted because it summarizes her character in a few words: watchful, bureaucratic, and difficult for Mike to impress. Celia Mae is Mike’s girlfriend, while Ms. Flint supervises scarer training, so neither is the speaker.
