Roz is revealed to be working undercover for the Child Detection Agency in Pixar’s Monsters, Inc.
For most of the film, Roz appears to be the irritated receptionist at Monsters, Incorporated. She constantly pressures Mike Wazowski about paperwork and seems uninterested in the company’s daily drama. Near the end, however, she reveals that she is actually Rose, a CDA agent investigating Randall’s secret activities.
The undercover role explains why Roz has been observing events at the company and why she helps Sulley and Mike after the truth comes out. The character is also revealed to have a twin sister named Roz, creating one of the film’s final comic surprises.
Roz’s identity is distinct from Celia Mae, Mike’s girlfriend and the company’s receptionist in the main lobby. Ms. Flint is a training supervisor, while Needleman is one of the employees associated with scare-floor operations. These supporting characters are sometimes mixed up because they all work inside Monsters, Incorporated.
