Mike Wazowski has one eye in Pixar’s Monsters, Inc.
Mike is a small, round, green monster whose single large eye occupies most of his face. He works at Monsters, Incorporated as Sulley’s assistant and is responsible for managing many practical details around their scare-floor assignments. His distinctive design makes the one-eye fact immediately recognizable, but the question remains useful because Mike’s appearance is central to his identity.
Mike’s name and visual design are sometimes confused with those of James P. Sullivan. Sulley is the tall, blue, furry monster with purple spots, while Mike is the compact green cyclops. Billy Crystal provides Mike’s original English voice, and John Goodman voices Sulley.
Mike also appears in the prequel Monsters University. There, the story follows his ambition to become a professional scarer and his developing friendship with Sulley. Across both films, his single eye remains one of Pixar’s clearest character features.
