In Pixar's Cars, who voices the character Doc Hudson?
Answer
Paul Newman
Paul Newman voices Doc Hudson in Pixar's Cars.
Doc Hudson is Radiator Springs' respected physician and judge, but he also has a hidden past as the Fabulous Hudson Hornet. Newman, a celebrated actor and former professional racing driver, brought special automotive credibility to the role. Cars became his final feature-film acting performance.
The character's history explains why Doc initially resists Lightning McQueen's racing ambitions. Doc had been a champion who was pushed aside after an injury, and he sees Lightning repeating the same self-centered path. The Fabulous Hudson Hornet was inspired by the real Hudson Hornet, a successful stock car in early-1950s NASCAR competition.
