In Pixar’s Cars, who voiced the race announcer Bob Cutlass?

In Pixar’s Cars, Bob Costas voiced the race announcer Bob Cutlass.

Bob Cutlass is the television commentator who provides race coverage alongside Darrell Cartrip. The character’s name and presentation are built around the style of American sports broadcasting, and Bob Costas supplied the English-language voice. Costas is a real American sportscaster known for covering major sporting events, making his casting especially fitting for a film centered on professional racing.

Darrell Cartrip, voiced by racing broadcaster Darrell Waltrip, is the other prominent commentator. Dale Earnhardt Jr. voices Junior, a separate race-car character, while John Ratzenberger voices Mack, McQueen’s transport truck. George Carlin voices Fillmore, the Volkswagen microbus in Radiator Springs. These cameo and supporting roles can be easy to confuse because Cars uses many famous voices connected to sports, comedy, and automotive culture.
