Chick Hicks is Lightning McQueen's main racing rival at the Piston Cup finale in Pixar's Cars.
Chick is an aggressive veteran racer who competes for the Piston Cup against Lightning and Strip “The King” Weathers. His green body carries the number 86, and his approach contrasts with Lightning's eventual change of attitude: Chick prioritizes winning over sportsmanship throughout the film.
At the three-way finale, Chick causes The King to crash while forcing a dangerous pass. Lightning then gives up the chance to claim the trophy immediately and pushes The King across the finish line instead. Chick wins the race, but his behavior leaves him without the respect associated with a true champion.
Jackson Storm belongs to Cars 3, not the first Cars film. The King is Lightning's other major opponent in the finale, but Chick is the recurring antagonist and direct rival.
