In Pixar's Cars, which voice actor plays Lightning McQueen?

In Pixar's Cars, Owen Wilson plays Lightning McQueen.

Wilson supplies the voice of the ambitious race car who begins the film focused almost entirely on winning the Piston Cup. His performance balances McQueen's early arrogance with the warmer, more reflective personality he develops in Radiator Springs.

The English-language cast also includes Paul Newman as Doc Hudson, Bonnie Hunt as Sally Carrera, and Larry the Cable Guy as Mater. These voices help separate the film's major personalities: McQueen is competitive, Doc is reserved and experienced, Sally is thoughtful, and Mater is exuberant.

Owen Wilson returned as McQueen in Cars 2 and Cars 3. The role is distinct from Doc Hudson, who was voiced by Paul Newman in the first Cars film. Newman died in 2008, and Doc's character is handled through the story of his legacy in later installments.
