In Pixar's Cars, Rust-eze is associated with Lightning McQueen's racing team.
Rust-eze is the sponsor whose branding appears on McQueen in the first film. The company sells a product marketed as a remedy for rusty vehicles, and its sponsorship gives the rookie racer his entry into the professional racing world. Rust-eze founders Rusty and Dusty are especially important to McQueen's career.
McQueen initially dreams of leaving Rust-eze for Dinoco, the prestigious team associated with The King. That ambition contributes to his self-centered behavior at the beginning of the story. By the conclusion, however, McQueen has developed a stronger relationship with the Rust-eze team and recognizes the value of loyalty.
