In Pixar's Cars, which singer performs the end-credit song “Real Gone”?

Sheryl Crow performs “Real Gone,” the end-credit song in Pixar's Cars.

The song plays over the closing credits of the 2006 film and matches the movie's road-trip and automotive themes. Its upbeat country-rock sound helps extend the film's Americana atmosphere beyond the story itself.

Randy Newman composed much of Cars's score and wrote several songs for the soundtrack, including “Our Town.” That connection can lead to confusion, but Newman did not perform “Real Gone”; Sheryl Crow recorded the track.

The Cars soundtrack also includes songs by artists such as Brad Paisley and James Taylor. “Real Gone” is specifically associated with Crow and was released as part of the film's soundtrack album.
