In Pixar's Cars, Luigi is modeled on a Fiat 500.
Luigi runs Luigi's Casa Della Tyres in Radiator Springs and is one of the town's most enthusiastic residents. His compact, rounded design and Italian identity reflect the classic Fiat 500, a small car that became especially recognizable in Italy and across Europe.
Luigi is passionate about Ferrari racing. That passion is central to his character and creates a memorable connection when Michael Schumacher appears as a Ferrari F430 in the film's end credits. Luigi's love of Ferrari does not mean that Luigi himself is a Ferrari; his own model is a Fiat 500.
The character is voiced by Tony Shalhoub. His partner Guido is a small forklift who works at the tire shop, and the pair are often remembered together, but Guido is not the answer to a question about Luigi's car model.
