Chick Hicks is Lightning McQueen’s main rival for the Piston Cup in Pixar’s Cars.
Chick is an experienced racer who has spent years in the shadow of Strip Weathers, the celebrated King. He sees Lightning’s arrival as a threat and uses aggressive, unsportsmanlike tactics to compete for attention and the championship.
The film’s final race ends in a three-way tie involving Lightning, Chick, and the King after Chick causes a crash. Lightning gives up his chance to win by helping the badly damaged King cross the finish line. Chick then wins the race, but his celebration is met with boos because of his behavior.
Chick Hicks is identifiable by his green paint and racing number 86. He is voiced by Michael Keaton in the English-language version, while Richard Petty voices Strip Weathers.
