In Pixar's Cars, which character voices Lightning McQueen?

Owen Wilson voices Lightning McQueen in Pixar's Cars.

Wilson supplied the voice of the ambitious red race car whose racing number is 95. Lightning begins the film as a talented but self-centered rookie competing for the Piston Cup, then changes after being forced to stay in Radiator Springs.

The role was one of Wilson's best-known voice performances. His conversational delivery helped distinguish Lightning from the more formal Doc Hudson and the energetic Mater. Wilson returned as Lightning's voice in Cars 2, Cars 3, and related Pixar short films and television material.

A common mix-up is confusing Lightning's voice with Mater's. Mater is voiced by Larry the Cable Guy, while Sally Carrera is voiced by Bonnie Hunt and Doc Hudson was voiced by Paul Newman. The film's vocal cast also includes actors such as Richard Petty, Cheech Marin, and Tony Shalhoub.
