In Pixar's Cars, which character says, “I am speed”?

Lightning McQueen says “I am speed” in Pixar's Cars.

The line reflects McQueen's early self-image as a gifted but immature rookie racer. At the beginning of the film, he focuses on speed, publicity, and winning the Piston Cup, while treating the people around him as obstacles to his success. The statement is part of the character's exaggerated confidence.

McQueen's outlook changes after he is stranded in Radiator Springs. Doc Hudson and the town's residents teach him that racing skill involves patience, teamwork, and respect, not just acceleration. The contrast between his early boastfulness and later maturity is one of the film's main character arcs.

Lightning McQueen is voiced by Owen Wilson and carries the number 95. The phrase is closely associated with the character, but it is not the name of a race, trophy, or racing technique.
