In Pixar's Cars, Tony Shalhoub voices Luigi.
Luigi is the Italian owner of Luigi's Casa Della Tires in Radiator Springs. He is a yellow 1959 Fiat 500 who is passionate about Ferrari racing. His enthusiasm becomes especially clear when Michael Schumacher visits the town near the end of the film.
Shalhoub was already known for major television and film roles before joining the Cars cast, including the title role in the television series Monk. Luigi's voice combines an Italian accent with an energetic, theatrical personality, making him one of the film's distinctive supporting characters.
Guido, Luigi's small blue forklift assistant, does not speak many conventional lines and is voiced by animator Guido Quaroni. Ramone is voiced by Cheech Marin, while Sarge is voiced by Paul Dooley. These similar-sounding workshop characters are a common source of mix-ups.
