In Pixar's Cars, which actor voices the racing champion The King?

Richard Petty voices The King in Pixar's Cars.

The King is a veteran Piston Cup champion and one of Lightning McQueen's rivals in the film's championship finale. Petty, one of NASCAR's most successful drivers, supplies the character's voice and helped connect the fictional racer to real stock-car history.

The character is modeled after a Plymouth Superbird, a famous aerodynamic stock car associated with Petty's racing career. The King's racing number is 43, Petty's best-known number. His role also gives the film a generational contrast: Lightning represents an ambitious newcomer, while The King represents experience and sportsmanship.
