In Pixar’s Cars, Doc Hudson is inspired by the 1950s Hudson Hornet.

Doc’s racing persona, the Fabulous Hudson Hornet, draws directly on the real Hudson Hornet, a full-size automobile manufactured by Hudson in the early 1950s.
