In Pixar's Cars, what kind of vehicle is Luigi?

The story behind the answer

In Pixar's Cars, Luigi is a Fiat 500.

Luigi owns Casa Della Tires in Radiator Springs and is known for his enthusiasm for Ferrari racing. His compact Italian design, expressive personality, and tire-shop role make him one of the town's most distinctive residents. He often speaks proudly about Italy and treats Ferrari as the highest standard of automotive style.

The Fiat 500 is an iconic Italian city car. The original model, commonly called the Cinquecento, was introduced in 1957 and became associated with affordable urban transportation. Luigi's animated appearance is based on the classic small Fiat, although the character has exaggerated eyes and other Pixar-specific features.

Luigi is sometimes mistaken for a Mini because both are small European cars. His closest story companion is Guido, a small forklift who works at the tire shop and helps with pit-stop tasks. Luigi is the Fiat owner; Guido is his assistant.
