Sally Carrera is the Radiator Springs attorney who becomes Lightning McQueen’s love interest in Pixar’s Cars.
Sally is a blue Porsche 996 Carrera who left a stressful city life and opened a law office in Radiator Springs. Her history gives her a different perspective from McQueen, whose early ambition is focused almost entirely on winning races and gaining fame.
She challenges McQueen’s selfish behavior after he damages the town’s road. Their relationship develops as he repairs the road and spends time learning about the town’s residents and history. Sally therefore helps connect the romantic story with the film’s larger theme about slowing down and valuing community.
Sally’s surname is a direct reference to the Porsche Carrera name. She is voiced by Bonnie Hunt and appears again in Cars 2 and Cars 3. She is not the same character as Flo, the owner of the local diner.
