In Pixar's Cars, what is the name of the song performed by Rascal Flatts over the end credits?

In Pixar's Cars, Rascal Flatts perform “Life Is a Highway” over the end credits.

The song is a country-rock cover of Tom Cochrane's 1991 hit. Rascal Flatts recorded their version specifically for the film's soundtrack, and it became one of the most recognizable musical associations with Cars.

Its lyrics about travel and an open road fit the movie's cross-country journey, especially Lightning McQueen's movement from the racing circuit to Radiator Springs. The song also helped connect the film's automotive setting with a broad popular-music audience.

Cars includes other notable songs, including “Our Town” by James Taylor and “Real Gone” by Sheryl Crow. Those tracks are sometimes selected by mistake, but “Life Is a Highway” is the Rascal Flatts performance heard in the end-credit sequence.
