In Pixar’s Cars, the blue-dinosaur Piston Cup sponsor is Dinoco.
Dinoco is one of the most prominent fictional brands in the Cars universe. Its logo features a blue Tyrannosaurus-like dinosaur, and its racing sponsorship is associated with The King, the veteran champion who drives a blue Plymouth Superbird.
Lightning McQueen initially wants the Dinoco sponsorship because it represents prestige and success in the Piston Cup racing world. After the final race, The King’s association with Dinoco becomes part of Lightning’s choice to help another racer rather than pursue the sponsorship solely for himself.
Dinoco is sometimes mixed up with Rust-eze, the company that sponsors Lightning at the beginning of Cars. Rust-eze uses a red-and-yellow design and markets a bumper ointment. Dinoco also appears in other Pixar films as an in-joke, but its Cars identity is the racing sponsor with the blue dinosaur emblem.
