Sally Carrera is the lawyer and Porsche who lives in Radiator Springs in Pixar’s Cars.
Sally is a Porsche 911 Carrera and one of the town’s central residents. She operates the Cozy Cone Motel and serves as an important guide for Lightning McQueen after he is forced to remain in Radiator Springs. Her knowledge of the town helps Lightning see that the community is more than an obstacle delaying his trip to the championship race.
Bonnie Hunt provides Sally’s voice. The character’s surname, Carrera, comes from Porsche’s model naming and also evokes the Carrera Panamericana road race. That connection fits Cars’ broader interest in automotive history and long-distance roads.
Sally is sometimes confused with Flo, the owner of Flo’s V8 Café, or with Holley Shiftwell, the British spy introduced in Cars 2. Sally remains primarily associated with Radiator Springs and Lightning’s personal transformation in the first film.
