In Pixar's Cars, what is the full name behind Mater's nickname?

Mater's full name in Pixar's Cars is Tow Mater.

Tow Mater is a rusty tow truck who lives in Radiator Springs and quickly becomes Lightning McQueen's closest friend. The name is a pun on “tow mater,” which sounds like “tomato,” while also describing his job as a tow vehicle.

Mater is known for his country manner, improvised stories, mechanical knowledge, and cheerful willingness to help. Although he is often comic relief, he is observant and loyal, and his friendship helps McQueen become more considerate.

Mater's character was voiced by Larry the Cable Guy, whose performance became one of the franchise's defining comic elements. Mater later becomes central to Cars 2, where his accidental involvement in an espionage plot drives much of the story.
