In Pixar's Cars, what business does Mater operate in Radiator Springs?
Answer
Tow Mater Towing and Salvage
In Pixar's Cars, Mater operates Tow Mater Towing and Salvage in Radiator Springs.
Mater is the town's rusty tow truck and becomes Lightning McQueen's closest friend after McQueen is ordered to repair the damaged road he caused. His business is located near the center of Radiator Springs, where he helps stranded vehicles and collects discarded parts.
The name is a pun on his nickname: "tow mater" sounds like "tomato." Mater's full name is Sir Tow Mater, and the character is known for his storytelling, humor, and claim that he has never seen a backward-facing view mirror.
Mater's towing business is different from the other establishments in town. Flo runs Flo's V8 Café, Ramone operates a body-art and paint shop, and Luigi owns Luigi's Casa Della Tires. The business also appears in Cars-related games and merchandise.
