In Pixar's Cars on the Road, what is the destination of Lightning McQueen and Mater's road trip?
Answer
Mater's sister's wedding
In Pixar's Cars on the Road, Lightning McQueen and Mater travel to attend Mater's sister's wedding.
Cars on the Road is a Disney+ animated series that follows McQueen and Mater on a cross-country trip. Mater receives an invitation connected to his sister's wedding, and McQueen accompanies him. Their journey becomes a sequence of comic adventures inspired by different genres, including horror, monster stories, and prehistoric fantasy.
The series premiered in 2022 and consists of nine episodes. It expands the world beyond Radiator Springs while keeping the friendship between McQueen and Mater at its center. Owen Wilson and Larry the Cable Guy reprise their roles as McQueen and Mater.
The road trip is not a race to the Piston Cup or a World Grand Prix event. Those competitions belong to the feature-film stories. In Cars on the Road, the personal destination is Mater's sister's wedding.
