After gaining confidence and demonstrating her ability, Cruz takes McQueen’s place in the Florida 500. She wins the race, and the Dinoco sponsorship passes to her after McQueen chooses a different role in the racing world. The ending presents Cruz as the next generation while honoring McQueen’s experience.
