In Pixar's Cars 3, which racer wins the Florida 500 after Lightning McQueen changes roles?

The story behind the answer

In Pixar's Cars 3, Cruz Ramirez wins the Florida 500 after Lightning McQueen changes roles.

Lightning begins the race as Cruz's crew chief, but he enters the competition after seeing Cruz's potential. He eventually gives her the chance to take over as the active racer for the final part of the event. Cruz then defeats Jackson Storm and takes the victory.

The ending reverses the usual mentor-and-student arrangement. Lightning does not simply disappear from racing; he adopts Doc Hudson's former role as a mentor while continuing to race selectively. The Florida 500 is therefore Cruz's breakthrough victory, not another win credited to Lightning.
