In Pixar's Cars 3, which race track is the setting for the climactic Florida 500?

The story behind the answer

In Pixar's Cars 3, the climactic Florida 500 takes place at Florida International Super Speedway.

The race is the season's decisive Piston Cup event and becomes the stage for McQueen's most important competitive and personal choice. After training with Cruz Ramirez and learning from Smokey, McQueen enters the race prepared to challenge Jackson Storm. The setting is a fictional superspeedway designed for the film's final stock-car contest.

The Florida 500 is not held at the track seen in the opening race of the movie. That earlier event is the Dinoco 400, where McQueen crashes while trying to keep up with Storm. The Florida race instead serves as the film's culminating championship-style event.

The fictional track should also not be confused with the real Daytona International Speedway. Cars 3 borrows visual ideas from American oval racing while using invented locations and competitions.
