In Pixar's Cars 3, Louise Nash inspires Cruz Ramirez at the Thomasville dirt track.
Louise Nash is one of the veteran racers McQueen meets while researching Doc Hudson's past. She was part of the Fabulous Hudson Hornet's racing era and is remembered as a pioneering female competitor. At Thomasville, she demonstrates that racing skill can survive long after a driver's peak professional career.
Her presence helps Cruz recognize that the obstacles she faces are not proof that she lacks talent. Louise's stories, along with advice from Smokey and other veterans, connect the film's new generation to the history of stock-car racing. Cruz eventually embraces her own identity as a racer.
Louise is voiced by Margo Martindale. The character is not the same as Sally Carrera, McQueen's friend, or Flo, the owner of the V8 Café. Thomasville itself is a fictional racing town central to Doc Hudson's backstory.
