In Pixar’s Cars 3, which character is voiced by Cristela Alonzo?

Cristela Alonzo voices Cruz Ramirez in Pixar’s Cars 3.

Cruz is introduced as a talented trainer at the Rust-eze Racing Center. She is assigned to help Lightning McQueen prepare for the challenge posed by Jackson Storm, a younger racer whose speed and technology represent a new era of competition.

Although Cruz initially lacks confidence in her own racing ability, her background reveals that she has always dreamed of competing. The film’s final act allows her to take a more active role on the track and develop a new identity in racing.

Alonzo is a comedian, actor, writer, and producer. Cruz Ramirez was the first major Latina character in a Pixar feature film, and the character’s yellow design distinguishes her from Lightning’s red body and Jackson Storm’s dark blue appearance. Cristela Alonzo returned to voice Cruz in later Cars-related productions.
