In Pixar's Cars 3, which car is Lightning McQueen's most prominent young rival?

Jackson Storm is Lightning McQueen's most prominent young rival in Pixar's Cars 3.

Storm represents a new generation of high-performance race cars. He is faster and more technologically advanced than many established competitors, and his success makes McQueen question whether experience alone is enough to remain competitive.

The character is deliberately contrasted with McQueen. Storm relies on modern training systems and data-driven performance, while McQueen must rebuild his confidence and rethink how he approaches racing after a serious crash.

Storm is voiced by Armie Hammer. His rivalry drives the film's opening conflict, but Cars 3 ultimately focuses less on defeating one opponent than on McQueen's changing role in the sport. The story connects competition with mentorship and the transfer of knowledge between generations.
